Welcome to Inspired Writing and Literature! We are delighted you are here and hope you will come back often.

Our mission at Inspired Writing and Literature includes providing classes that (1) inspire students to be truth seekers; (2) teach them to read critically, think logically, and write and speak clearly and persuasively; and (3) equip them to engage civilization's significant ideas with the discernment of a Christian worldview.

To accomplish this, we provide highly interactive, innovative classes which engage students in an ongoing analytical and evaluative discussion, both orally and in writing, about the ideas encountered in the literature we are reading. For more details about our unique learning environment, see the following articles:

As an accredited Certified Instructor with the Institute for Excellence in Writing, your instructor employs the Institute's materials in writing and literature, as well as a variety of additional resources from the Center for Lit, the Circe Institute, and others. Because the philosophy of Inspired Writing and Literature is that teen students produce excellent writing when challenged to consider and write about excellent ideas, the core of our program for high school consists of paired classes of classic literature and composition. A core objective of every Inspired Writing and Literature class is to teach students to think at deeper levels.
While the vision for Inspired Writing and Literature is ultimately to serve students of all skill levels from elementary age up, in the upcoming 2018-2019 school year, we will solely offer courses for middle school and high school students. To be notified about class offerings as we add additional classes serving a wider variety of needs, be sure to sign up for our newsletter!
Along the way, we may also chat about other aspects of the homeschool journey. To assist your family in this journey, coming in the near future will be more articles, questions and answers, as well as free and informative webinars for you and your students. If you would like to receive information about these as they become available, be sure to register with our site.   Please also feel free to contact us with your comments and questions.  We look forward to hearing from you!
